Fall/Winter is in full swing, and am really missing our favorite annual vacation in Wildwood NJ. We wait all year for it, and then suddenly it has come and gone. But the memories we make will last a lifetime. I am reminiscing about the amazing time we had at Splash Zone Wildwood. I thought I would share it with you.*
In all the years we have gone, we spend the majority of our time walking on the Boardwalk or swimming in our hotel’s pool. We decided to try something new, and visited Splash Zone Wildwood for the first time ever. I have to tell you that we had TONS of fun.
One of my favorite things about Splash Zone Wildwood is the small, intimate feel of the park. Where we live, we have a larger(and much more crowded) water park that we visit several times each Summer. It is packed, and there are always lines.
More About Splash Zone Wildwood:
Here at this water park, there are less people, and that makes getting on rides so much easier. You are able to experience everything and not have to worry about missing something fun because you run out of time. And who wants to miss out on fun?
One thing I liked about Splash Zone Wildwood is how well each ride was clearly labeled based on intensity. They had signs near each attraction to make that clear.
They are written in a way that cannot be misunderstood, which is great for parents and kids. That means less unhappy kids because they know what they can and cannot go on. That also makes it more pleasant for other guests, as well.
Speaking of ride intensity, I have to start out with THE most intense ride: The Beast of the East. It is not for the faint of heart, and if you have any health problems, then it is not for you. That said, it is definitely the best ride in the entire park. I am a big fan of lazy rivers, so for me to say I like this ride, you know it has to be good.
It bounces you, it bangs you, it soaks you. It makes you breathless, and it makes you want to go on it again and again.
But like I said, if you are not a fan of crazy rides like that, then I would definitely recommend the tubed water slides. The green slide is completely enclosed and pitch black. And SO much fun. Right before you hit the water, you see the sunshine outside and then SPLOOSH! You are laughing and ready to do it all over again!
Like I said earlier, I enjoy lazy rivers, and Splash Zone Wildwood has the perfect one for me. It is so relaxing to just float around and soak up the rays and think about how blessed you are to be with your family.
For your more adventurous teenager, there is the FlowRider. You can surf or boogie board, depending on your pleasure. But Splash Zone Wildwood is not just for the big kids. They have a fun kids’ area that features the Giant Bucket. Here the dinging of the bell? Get ready for this:
According to my boys, it is a lot of fun. It is so nice to hear all the little kids laughing and screaming when the bucket tips over. But hey, us grownups liked it as well.
Not into the water rides? Splash Zone Wildwood has just the thing for the grownups that just want to relax while they watch their kids having a blast. Enter the Flow Bar. Located inside the Splash Zone Wildwood water park, it has great food, cool drinks, and more.
If your little ones are hungry, there is a great snack bar located inside the water park.
Quick service foods that can satisfy any appetite. I have to tell you that the kids’ meal is a great value! Served in a cute bucket and pail, it is the perfect size for little hands with hungry appetites.
So if you are looking for a fun time on the Wildwood Boardwalk, the Splash Zone Wildwood Water Park should be on your agenda. I do have to say, it is a bit pricey for a smaller waterpark. However, it is an all day pass so you can come and go as needed. I do have to say that the season pass is a great value especially if you are down there pretty frequently. You also get some really great coupons and discounts on cabana rentals.
So be sure to check out Splash Zone Wildwood for your next great vacation adventure. And a great big thanks again to the management staff for the complimentary tickets!
