Happy Sunday morning! It is a beautiful Sunday morning in my part of PA. But super chilly as well. We are supposed to be getting some snow late tomorrow into Tuesday. It is supposed to be a minor snow event, so I can be grateful for that.
We only had one major snowstorm since the Winter season started. But it was enough for me. I am NOT a snowbird, I never have been. But I admit, it can be pretty sometimes.

I don’t think it will be enough snow in this storm to keep any of us from work. If you happen to be in a place where you will be snowed in, why not start on some Spring cleaning activities. It is a nice time to start planning some of your Summer garden plans.
So as you know, we have made it through the transition of power. A new administration is here. I have high hopes, yet I remain super skeptical. I am guessing that is because of the trauma from the previous administration will take some time to resolve.
Can we just stop for a minute and remember what it was like seeing the Vice President sworn in? No matter what party you support, seeing a woman getting sworn in was truly historic. I spent the day watching and was more emotional than I expected.
And the former first ladies? Well, they ROCKED their outfits. The colors were perfect, and I enjoyed seeing them again. In any case, no matter what your political beliefs are, we can all move forward now. Hopefully together.

I still find it hard to believe that this time last year, I was planning my very first cruise vacation as a solo traveler and travel influencer!
Being a travel blogger right now is extremely challenging right now. It is hard to talk about new places when you really can’t experience them right now. So over the next few months, I will be digging deep into my archives, and blogging about places we have been to so that you can use them to plan your travel when the time is right for you and your family.
I really miss traveling. We had a May trip planned to Sandals Resorts in Barbados. This trip has been in the works since 2018. We recently decided that it would be better to postpone the trip until later this year, with the hopes that things will improve as the Summer progresses. We also switched locations, and will be heading to St. Lucia instead. We have never been there before, so it is kind of exciting. I also took advantage of a great offer from American Airlines to upgrade to business class. Keeping fingers crossed it happens!

We have a 2023 trip booked to St. Lucia, so we are hoping to change this resort to Barbados for that year. Unless, of course, I totally fall in love the with the Grande St. Lucia and want to return, LOL. In any case, planning and dreaming about travel helps me get through the Winter.

Both boys have started up their Spring semesters. They are continuing with remote learning. I know I mentioned in last week’s post, but they really are being pretty good sports about being stuck at home with the “old people” and having some restrictions on hanging out with friends and not staying up all hours of the night. My heart aches that they are being robbed the college experience. Now that the vaccines are starting to roll out, I feel much more hopeful for a mostly normal Fall semester.
So that is pretty much it right now. I will be working on a blog redesign over the next few weeks. Trying to figure out a color scheme that makes reading easier for everyone that comes and visits. Any thoughts on what colors draw you to a blog?
Please stay safe, wear your mask, continue social distancing, and wash your hands! Better days are coming, we just need to hang in there!
