Wow, it is another Sunday.
I can’t believe that it is January 17, 2021. But it seems like it should be 2022 at this point. Time really has no meaning anymore. Days still blend, so much is swirling around. From the pandemic to insurrection to the looming inauguration, there is almost too much to think about.

I really wish I was back in Jamaica right now, enjoying the warm sun, cool ocean breeze, and lots of time alone with my hubby. We had a small taste of pre-Covid life, and it was kind of a gut punch. Things didn’t have to be this way, things didn’t have to get this bad.
But it did. And we are adapting. And dealing. And waiting for the happy email that says we can get our vaccines.
So, in the meantime, I managed to get a few things done. Finally got the Christmas tree down. It looks so dull and blah without it. I did keep up some Winter themed decorations until I decorate for Valentine’s Day.
Most of the wooden decorations you see were handmade by my husband’s Aunt. I LOVE them!

Both the boys “head back” to school this week. And by head back, I mean they just need to roll out of bed to their desk chairs. Both of them decided on virtual learning for this semester in college. Mom is happy for several reasons: she doesn’t have to worry about them being out and about, they are home here, and it saved on room & board.
I know it’s difficult for them, you know, being told what to do and that they have to keep it down after a certain point because the “old people” need to get some sleep.
Hubs is still working from home, and will be for a bit yet. I am glad, because it means I am the only one out there that is exposed to more people. I am guessing he might miss his “home office manager”.

This is Fred, one of our crazy orange tabbies. His brother George tends to be less helpful and avoids the office area. And yes, they are named after the Weasley twins in Harry Potter. Very appropriate, since they are just as mischievous.
My plan for the rest of this month is to get some organizing done, schedule some blog posts, and count the hours until Spring!
Happy Sunday all! Stay safe and well, and wear your mask(over your nose too!), maintain social distancing, and wash your hands so we can get through this!
