Today I am deviating from writing all about travel(well, not totally I guess, I still love talking about it) and talking about, well, life. As many of you may know, I originally started out with a lifestyle blog called Making Our Life Matter. It was about anything and everything, and that was the problem. I had no focus.
So that is when I started Trekking and Tasting so I would have a narrower niche, and that is really helping with my creativity! But I still love a good recipe post or just a general post about how life is. Doesn’t this look delicious?!? The link to the recipe is at the bottom of this post.
So that is where my Passport Sundays feature comes in. I am going to do my best to post some daily life things on Sunday. And it may not be every Sunday, but it is certainly going to be my plan. For instance, I am currently headed up to visit my oldest at college. It has been 4 weeks since I have seen him, but it feels like F-O-R-E-V-E-R.
Right now, we may be experiencing another snowstorm early in the week. I am not a fan of Winter, and would rather be in Jamaica sipping a cold beverage.
But since that isn’t going to happen, I can just close my eyes and pretend I am there. So where is your favorite place to visit?
The good thing about it being the almost middle of February is that we are only about four weeks from time change. I hate the long nights, so having it light out longer makes it a bit more tolerable. And I can also keep in mind that it is only 4 months until our favorite Wildwood vacation!
I can just heard the sounds of the Boardwalk right now. I know the rest of the family feels the same exact way!
Other than that, I am just thinking about making a game plan for Spring cleaning. Since I stopped blogging about home, Spring cleaning has really been pushed out of my mind. And a laundry schedule. And did I mention a cleaning schedule? I definitely need to get back to one.
So that is really all I have to say this week. Perhaps as the week goes(Please God no snow!!), I will have more to share next Sunday! Bon Voyage!
