You can have this recipe done in about 45 minutes, from start to finish. I have a few tips below that can make it even easier to make. Who doesn’t love that? This is a great recipe to make with kids, too. After all, cooking with kids is a great bonding experience. However, if you have teens & young adults like I do, their may be more sampling than eating.
So What Ingredients Do I Need For This Dip Recipe?
Here is the list of ingredients you will need for this recipe:
- 1-2 bags Chili with beans
- 2 blocks cream cheese
- 1 small container of sour cream
- Shredded cheddar cheese(or if you like it hot and spicy, use some taco & nacho blend mozzarella)
- Shredded lettuce
- Diced Tomatoes
- Sliced Olives(optional)
Bonus tip: Check your local grocery store for all diced tomatoes and shredded lettuce. Cuts prep time way down, and is a lot less messy than cutting this up yourself.
Directions To Make The Easy Game Day Layered Chili Dip
Step #1: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Step #2: In a square glass dish, spread the cream cheese mixture on the bottom.
Quick tip: Get the whipped version of the cream cheese, it makes spreading it a lot easier without wasting time waiting for it to soften.
Step #3: Pour the chili on top, and evenly spread over the cream cheese mixture.
Step #4: Sprinkle cheese over the top of the chili.
Step #5: Bake in oven for 20-25, or until the cheese is warm and melted.
Step #6: Add a layer of the diced tomatoes on top of the cheese.
Step #7: Place a layer of the shredded lettuce on top of the tomatoes.
Step #8(optional): Garnish with black olives.
Step #9: Serve warm with your favorite scooping chips and a dollop of sour cream.
