When we returned to Sandals Royal Caribbean in Jamaica for our Retie the Knot ceremony, one of this places we had to visit was the Jerk Shack at Sandals Resorts. When we first visited the resort back in 1997(yes, well over 20 years ago) we did not discover the deliciousness that was jerk chicken until the day we left.
We had no idea what we were missing, and we have been longing for it ever since we left our honeymoon. We had always talked about going back to Sandals Resorts for our 20th anniversary, and we are so glad we did. We had to enjoy the Jerk Shack at Sandals Resorts the second day we were there.

The Jerk Shack At Sandals Resorts:
So if you have never had jerk chicken you are missing out. Seriously, I kid you not! If you love chicken in any way, the spice of the jerk seasoning takes it to the next level. Make sure you have a Rum Runner on the side because it completes the authentic Jamaican meal.
If you are not much of a chicken eater, the Jerk Shack at Sandals Resorts has other options as well. Here is an example of their menu:
While I have not personally had the Jerk Fish In Foil, plenty of my friends from the Sandals FB groups have had it and absolutely RAVE about it. Bonus tip: from what I understand, the flies apparently love the fish as well, so make sure you keep it covered when you are not enjoying it.
The following resorts in Jamaica offer the Jerk Shack:
- Sandals Royal Caribbean
- Sandals Montego Bay(newly opened)
- Sandals South Coast
- Sandals Ochi
The Jerk Shack at Sandals Resorts is also available in the Bahamas at Sandals Emerald Bay, in Saint Lucia at Grande St. Lucia, and at the Royal Barbados in Barbados.
So there you have it! I can’t wait until our Bahamas trip next year so we can enjoy it again.
Will you be trying the Jerk Shack at Sandals Resorts?
