Wow, it is amazing to see that another week has passed since I started my journey with “Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks—While Burning Fat Overnight” by Joel Marion.

Remember when I said that I was ALWAYS tired? Well, since starting this diet program, that is changing. One of my biggest goals of trying this diet was to get more energy. To stop being tired. To stop wanting to nap.
I know it is a combination of being part of the program and talking with Joel Marion about his program. All I know is, I am LOVING the part of being NOT TIRED!
Some of the things I have been able to accomplish:
Clean & decorate our entry way for Summer.

Spend time outside doing yard work and organizing our newly installed shed.

I am outside walking several times a week, instead of laying around on the couch and napping. This just one small part from a walk this morning. I am finding that I am going on again in the evening because I am feeling LESS TIRED! Yes, it makes me want to shout it from the rooftop!

So how did I get to that point? By following the plan! The Always Eat After 7 PM plan consists of: The 14-day Acceleration Phase to kick-start the program and see rapid results, The Main Phase where you’ll learn exactly which foods to eat when in order to achieve your weight-loss goals, The Lifestyle Phase to keep the weight off for good.
The biggest thing that “kick started” me was the introduction of lemon water to my routine. I struggle with getting enough water. Water helps digest your food, expel wastes, regulate your temperature, protect your tissues, cushion your joints, and protect your spinal column, among many other vital functions. It is through water that hormones flow to the proper organs, that nutrients reach all cells, and that toxins are diluted and removed from the body.
The lemon definitely helps if you struggle to drink enough water because there is “no taste”.

Then there is the black coffee…well, let’s just say that is still a work in progress. But the rest of the food choices that are really helping. Keep reading to find out my favorite.
There are so many delicious recipes available in The Always Eat After 7 PM book. My absolute favorite has been the Cheesy Ground Beef Skillet. When you live in a house of carnivores, you absolutely cannot beat this recipe.

As a side note, if you LOVE peppers like I do, use this recipe to stuff in peppers! 2 for the price of 1! Less time in the kitchen means more time outside doing the things you can do when you aren’t tired.
As someone who loves carbs, I thought I needed to avoid them. Turns out I was just eating them at the wrong time! Who would have known. And, well, I also struggle with portion control. So once I started doing that, the rest started falling into place.
There are plenty of other recipes to make and enjoy in the book. And with the phases all laid out for you, you will be able to plan your weekly menu with ease. Some of our other favorites include:
